  • Page 3 With the introduction of the NetVu Console, this all changes, a new era of CCTV is born. The NetVu Console ensures multiple DVR systems can seamlessly be linked to a single point of control with only an Ethernet network connection.

    The NetVu Console includes a unique colour-coded, soft key menu structure and on-screen Graphical User Interface (GUI). Context sensitive, the menu structure always represents the area of the menu the user is in, allowing them to quickly select the options and settings they need without having to trawl through menu pages and options.

    With no need for a telemetry keyboard, users are able to utilise Pan & Tilt control of a Dedicated Micros Oracle Dome simply by clicking an area of the monitor.     Installation procedure Step 1 Connecting Optional Local DVR’s Digital video signals are received over the network, however the NetVu Console additionally Console additionally additionally supports two local video inputs (allowing analogue video sources to be used as spot monitor inputs).

Note: An internal link change is required for debug operations, refer to Appendix A for guidance.   • Page 12 Step  Connecting Network THE NETVU CONSOLE SUPPORTS A 10/100MBPS AUTO-DETECTING NETWORK PORT. USE A PROPERLY SCREENED ETHERNET CABLE TO CONNECT THE UNIT TO THE NETWORK. By default the unit is configured for DHCP i.e. the unit is automatically allocated an IP address from a network DHCP server.

    Accessing the NetVu Console The NetVu Console can be configured either on a local monitor or via a network connection and a PC with Internet Explorer or similar browser. Both have near identical interfaces. Accessing the menus on a local monitor The Configuration menu pages can be displayed on the local monitor (via BNC Connector labelled VID OUT on the rear of the unit).

    Numeric or text data is entered using the on-screen Virtual Keyboard (Arrow Key Editor). To display the Virtual Keyboard, navigate to the relevant text input box using the Directional buttons and press the OK button on either the Remote Control or the NetVu Console Keyboard. The Virtual Keyboard is displayed.

    Configuring the NetVu Console System This menu details general information about the unit, including the version of software installed, the unit’s serial number and the allocated DHCP IP address. Product Descriptor Details the product model. Machine Serial Number Identifies the unit’s serial number.

Default Multi Display This controls how the NetVu Console will display the multiscreen option when selected via the Viewer menus. The default setting is 16 way.

    Remote Cam Num Identifies the number the camera is allocated on its server. Selecting this number via the NetVu Console will not result in images from that camera being displayed. Server URL Identifies the URL address of the server the camera is located on.

    Map Config The Map Config menu enables the configuration of maps displa��ed in the NetVu Console’s Viewer Menus. Maps can be linked from an e�ternal PC or Server and individual hotspots added at specific camera locations on each map.     Operating the NetVu Console Viewer Navigation is via a colour coded softkey system. The coloured menus provide an intuitive approach to operator and installer use. The coloured keys on the IR Remote Control and Keyboard correspond to the menu options displayed on screen.
