BLEEDING THE WILCOX 5510 AIR CYLINDERS In the event that damage to an Air Cylinder is detected or the WILCOX 5510 requires maintenance to any portion that uses air, the WILCOX 5510 Air Cylinders should be bled of all air while bleeding through the chassis. This provides a full bleed of the cylinders and chassis.
  • Page 79: Inspecting Hp Cylinders

HYDROSTATIC TESTING All breathing Air Cylinders used with the WILCOX 5510 must be hydrostatically tested at the required intervals by a licensed cylinder retester. Intervals for hydrostatic testing are established in the appropriate US Department of Transportation (DOT) specification or applicable DOT exemption, or the appropriate Transport Canada (TC-SU 10350) or European ISO 11119-2 permit equivalent levels of safety.

  • Page 81 Failure to observe this instruction may result in serious injury or death. If the WILCOX 5510 is suspected of being contaminated by a hazardous substance during use, the contaminant must be identified and properly removed or the contaminated components replaced before the next use. Dispose of contaminants and components in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements.
