IF ANY SOLVENT SEEPAGE OCCURS AT THE
HANDLE STEM WHEN PUMPING, LIGHTLY
TIGHTEN THE PACKING NUT UNTIL SEEPAGE
STOPS.
DO NOT OVER-TIGHTEN OR USE TOOLS TO
TIGHTEN THE SET SCREW AS THIS WILL
DAMAGE THE PUMP BODY AND MAY CAUSE
THE PUMP TO FAIL!

INSTRUCTION SHEET
For: FM Approved
Safety Pump for 5 Gallon Pails
Model 07713 Stainless Steel
FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS MAY DAMAGE THE PUMP, CAUSE AN UNSAFE
CONDITION AND VOID THE WARRANTY
NOTE: The following FM approved pump is
intended to be used with 5 Gallon Pails
only.
NOTE: Refer to the National Fire Protection
Association for more information about
handling flammable liquids.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Verify that the PAIL ADAPTER is tight on
the pail.
2. Insert pump through the adapter and
verify that the SET SCREW on the
ADAPTER is tight to the pump.
3. Attach BONDING and GROUNDING CLIPS
properly:
a. Attach long wire Grounding
Clip to metal water pipe or
other suitable ground.
b. Attach short wired
Grounding Clip to bare metal
on receiving container.
OPERATING PROCEDURE
1. If any solvent seepage occurs at the handle stem when pumping, lightly tighten the SMALL
PACKING NUT until seepage stops.
2. If any solvent seepage occurs at the top of the pump by the head lightly tighten the head until
seepage stops.
DRAINING PROCEDURE
1. PUMP must be completely drained of residual solvent before removing.
2. With handle in highest position, lift entire Pump assembly until bottom of PUMP is centered
over the top of PUMP ADAPTER.
3. Tilt pump to about 45 Degrees from opening in can with spigot pointing up.
4. Shake the PUMP until the CHECK BALL rattles loose and the solvent drains back into the pail.
SERVICING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Follow the same procedure to solve seepage problems as noted in the OPERATING
PROCEDURES above.
