- 8. 8.4. Adjustment of optical sound 16 mm and 35 mm For adjustment of optical sound a smooth film run is essential, i.e. the film should move along the bottom edge of the sound path. This is achieved by an exact vertical position of the sound path by means of 3 adjusting screws from above (loosening of nut with 2 hales) and 3 counter screws from below.
