Getting Started Insert Nozzle If it’s not already in place, insert the nozzle into the front of the pen. Power up & select speed Connect the cable to the pen. Plug the pen into a wall outlet and choose your speed setting.

Getting Started Wait for the green or blue light Wait for the indicator light to turn green ( slow) or blue ( fast). This means that the pen has reached temperature and is ready to use. Press the forward button It’s time to start creating with candy! Press the forward button to advance the first capsule.
Hot Tips & Best Practices Loading a cartridge Hold the cartridge in your hand with the holes facing horizontally and a finger on the bottom hole to prevent the capsule from falling through. Slide a candy capsule from the front or into the top hole, loading it into the cartridge (do not load it through the back).
Hot Tips & Best Practices Unloading a cartridge To unload the cartridge for cleaning, or to swap colors, either wait for the rod to kick back indicating the pen has finished the candy capsule, or press the small reverse button until you hear the motor stop reversing. It is now safe to remove the cartridge.
Hot Tips & Best Practices Selecting the Right Speed Setting There are two speeds to choose between. The pen will take a minute or two to heat up, noted by the red indicator light. Each candy capsule lasts for approximately 30 seconds on fast speed and approximately 60 seconds on slow speed while in the pen.

Troubleshooting Why is my pen Why has my extruding slowly? extrusion Your nozzle might need to be become cleaned or there might be irregular? rough edges on that capsule that is slowing the motor down. The candy capsule might be an odd size, and need adjusting so that it doesn’t drag on the edge of the cartridge.

Troubleshooting Why does material keep sticking to the nozzle? Clean your nozzle tip with a cloth or paper towel, pull away from where you started to help reduce curling or push the nozzle onto something to get it to anchor better. You can also try coating the nozzle in a no-stick substance such as butter, oil, or a nonstick spray.
