After returning from a month vacation, my 2025 Kia Sportage SX Prestige Hybrid with 3,000 miles is completely dead. It was parked in an insulated garage but shows no signs of battery life in lights, seat adjustment, etc.

February 10, 2025

A 2025 Kia Sportage SX Prestige Hybrid could be completely dead after being parked for a month due to the following possible causes:

1. 12V Battery Discharge – Extended inactivity can drain the 12V battery, preventing the vehicle from starting.
2. Hybrid Battery Issues – If the high-voltage battery loses charge, it may cause system failures.
3. Electrical Drain – Accessories or systems left on may have slowly drained the battery.
4. Parking Brake Issues – If the parking brake was engaged and frozen due to weather conditions, it could prevent movement.
5. Hybrid System Malfunction – A fault in the hybrid system could prevent startup.

To resolve the issue, check the battery charge, attempt to jump-start the vehicle, and contact an authorized Kia dealer if necessary.
