Gas Micro NG EVC General Information General Information The Galvanic Applied Sciences Gas Micro NG is series of ultra-low power, precision electronic gas volume correctors intended for high precision, industrial gas metering and general telemetry, data logging, data acquisition and control applications. These products may be located in hazardous locations.

Only qualified personnel should install, operate, and maintain the Gas Micro NG . The digital outputs may be powered by a source separate from the one(s) used to power the Gas Micro NG system. Disconnecting the main power source may not remove power from the digital output signals.
The Notice symbol is used to highlight information that will optimize the use and reliability of the system. Please read the following warnings and cautions carefully before using the Gas Micro NG EVC This equipment must be used as specified by the manufacturer or overall safety will be impaired.
DEVICE WHEN ENERGIZED. This warning is located on the device nameplate. Customer communications and signals cables may not be connected or disconnected from the Gas Micro NG while the device is energized. USE OF UNAUTHORIZED PARTS MAY IMPAIR SUITABILITY FOR HAZARDOUS LOCATIONS.
1.3.6 Operator Accessible Ports During normal operation of the Gas Micro NG, the enclosure door must remain closed. The operator can communicate with the EVC device via an optical connection port and can be accessed even while the area is classified. All other connections are made at the device motherboard and can only be accessed while the area is known to be safe.

Although the Gas Micro NG shipped to you may not include all the hardware options described in this manual, the procedure for the basic installation of the unit remains the same.
Dimensions and Space Requirements The dimensions of the Gas Micro NG without the MPTI are 219mm (8.6”) H x 237mm (9.3”) W x 140.5mm (5.5”) D. With the MPTI installed, the dimensions are 325mm (12.8”) H x 237mm (9.3”) W x 140.5mm (5.5”) D as shown in Figure 2.
Pole or Wall Mounting Gas Micro NG can be mounted on a vertical pole up to 7.62cm (3 inch) diameter, or wall face, using pole mounting brackets. Brackets are mounted to the instrument case using four screws as shown in Figure 3.
2.3.2 Flange Mounting Gas Micro NG can be mounted on flanges or similar mounting points with the universal mounting plate. The plate is fixed to the instrument housing back using four screws. A 10mm thick flat steel strip (length may vary) used is then fixed to the plate using two nuts. The other end may be fixed to a flange nut as shown in Figure 4.
