DESCRIPTION
NOTE: First verify the range installation is correct before installing
the service kit

The Knob / Airflow Enhancement Service Kit is for situations where the control
knobs may get warm after long periods of range use. Although the knobs do not
exceed the allowable limit for surface temperature,
comfort by maximizing the airflow, thereby reducing heat build-up

Control board kit (1) – includes control board, jumper harness, instructions

Air diverter (1)
•
Crossflow blower fan & retaining bracket assembly (1)
•
Lowback (1) NOTE: Only for range installations using the lowback. Not
needed for ranges using the high backguard or island trim.

Drill-point T-10 screws (4)

Power driver / drill
•
T-10, T-20, and T-30 drivers
•
1/8 inch standard or stainless steel drill bit
•
Protective eyewear and clothes

Service manual

Turn off gas supply and electrical power to the range.
Gain access to the back of the range, and then remove the backguard
(high backguard, lowback, or island trim).
Remove the back panel.
Replace control board:
a. Remove range-top components (burners, grates, griddle, maintop, and
heat shield) in order to gain access to the range-top chassis floor.
See Figure 1.
b. Remove existing control board, and replace it with the supplied control
board, per service manual and control board kit instructions.
