PROFILE Lite Panels and Repeaters- Short User
Guide
This short user guide provides essential information, including a general overview of the panel's keys and LED func-
tions, to help you to use the features of the PROFILE Lite range of panels.
To access most of the functions described in this document, you need to log on to the panel using your user ID and
passcode.
Logging on to the panel
1 Turn the enable keyswitch clock-wise to the 1 (ON) position.
2 Press the Passcode (F3) key.
3 Enter your user ID. You only need to press the Enter (F5) key if your ID has only one digit.
If you are already logged on, you see an open message. Press the Back (F1) key.
4 Enter your passcode. You only need to press Enter (F5) if your passcode has less than six digits.
If another user was logged on, this user is automatically logged off.

Menu key functional description
Use the SILENCE BUZZER* control key to silence the
panel's internal buzzer.
Use the DAY/NIGHT* control key to switch between
Day and Night Mode.
Use the INVESTIGATE* control key to delay the fire bri-
gade signalling. This gives you time to investigate an
alarm and cancel the signalling if you discover the alarm
is false. INVESTIGATE can only be used in Day mode.
Use the TEST* control key to check that the system
controls and interfaces are functioning correctly.
Note: The TEST control key is configurable to your
requirements. However, if the panel is connected to an
advanced fire signalling unit, this key can be configured
as TEST.
Use the EVACUATE* control key to activate the exter-
nal sounders and signalling.

How to use the key
Press the SILENCE BUZZER control key to silence the
buzzer.
Note: If the panel is in Test mode, SILENCE BUZZER
cannot take effect.
Press the DAY/NIGHT control key to switch between
Day and Night Modes.
Note: The enable keyswitch must be ON to use the
DAY/NIGHT control key.
Press the INVESTIGATE control key. Investigate the
cause of the alarm and carry out any necessary mea-
sures.
If you confirm there is a fire, override the delay and acti-
vate signalling by pressing the EVACUATE control key
or by activating a call point.
If you determine there is a false alarm, reset the control
panel.
Press the TEST control key to enable or disable test
mode.
Press the EVACUATE control key to produce the same
response as an alarm.
