    User Manual: Ballancer ® Gold 1212 Important - Before you Start Read this entire manual before setting up and operating the Ballancer® Gold system for the first time. Keep this manual for future reference. Keep all packing materials in case you ever need to transport the console. The packing materials have been specially designed to protect the system from damage during shipment.

    User Manual: Ballancer ® Gold 1212 1. About Ballancer Gold ® Ballancer® Gold is a massage system intended for use by people in good health. As noted above, Ballancer® Gold simulates the kneading and stroking action of manual massage by use of an inflatable garment that fills and deflates, applying a directional compress-and-release massage.

    User Manual: Ballancer ® Gold 1212 2. Modes of Operation 2.1. The Ballancer Cycle The Ballancer cycle (see Figure 1) applies a massage from the bottom of the hand or foot, up and over the body. The sequence is wavelike, and moves up the body, as the chambers over the hand or foot release as the massage moves upwards.

    User Manual: Ballancer ® Gold 1212 2.3. The Pretreatment Cycle Pretreatment can be added to the beginning of the Intense or Ballancer cycles. Based on the Ballancer® cycle, the Pretreatment cycle (see Figure 3) is a primer for the main treatment, with a fixed, moderate pressure setting of 40 mmHg.

Components of the Ballancer Gold System ® The system consists of a console that supplies compressed air in cycles to inflatable garments that are worn over the body. The Console is used with Ballancer Pro® Jacket or Ballancer Pro® Pants. Each garment has 24 individual air chambers that apply the massage.

    User Manual: Ballancer ® Gold 1212 4. Setting up the System Proper setup is essential for safe and comfortable treatment. Before using the system for the first time, take care to arrange the treatment area so that you can reach the console at any time during treatment.

    User Manual: Ballancer ® Gold 1212 4.2. Putting on the Compression Garments Note: Always wear clothing under the compression garments, to prevent irritation and for hygienic reasons. They are not to be worn over bare skin. Wear clean cotton socks and light cotton unrestrictive pants under Ballancer Pro Pants. Wear a long-sleeve cotton T-shirt under Ballancer Pro Jacket.

Ensure that all hoses are properly connected to the garment and that the hose bundle is securely attached to the console. Verify that the Power Switch at the left side of the console is in the OFF position (see Figure 7).
