1. Intended use and operation purpose
The GOV REG™ is a secondary pressure regulator for the adjustment respectively reduction of the
operating pressure using modifi ed cutting-edge technology from the medical fi eld.
It is made from best stainless steel 1.4035. SK – certifi cation: 440-002.
In order to use the gas from the gas bottle, the high pressure in the bottle (up to 230 bar) must be
reduced with a primary pressure reducer, fi tted with a safety valve, to the permitted operation pres-
sure, max. 3 bar for beer and max. 7 bar for soda water/non-alcoholic beverages.

1.1. General safety instructions
• The equipment may only be operated in perfect condition.
• Only use parts or tubes, which are approved for the maximum operating pressure (3 bar / 7 bar) of
the system.
• Keep the workplace and the equipment clean and use only equipment which is intended for the
respective operation purpose.
• Note that the device is under pressure when installed. No parts under pressure may be detached or
dismantled.
• It is imperative that you understand and are aware of the properties and risks of using gases and
understand these, so that in emergencies you can take the appropriate measures.
• Warning: If you are working with pressurized equipment or equipment that is intended for use
with gases, you should always follow the relevant safety instructions in order to avoid personal
injury and damage to property.
Outgoing gases can lead to suffocation hazard in case of larger accumulations in closed rooms.
Ensure that the rooms are adequately and suffi ciently ventilated. Note the room volume. A risk
assessment must always be performed. If a leak is found, have the room cleared and ventilated. If
possible, close the shut-off valve on the main pressure reducer or the gas supply

• If you would like to know more about the safety and use of the gas container, please contact your
gas supplier.
1.2. Safety Instructions for the GOV REG™
• Inspect the device regularly for damage, do not dismantle or modify the device. Any changes that
affect the safety of the device are strictly prohibited.
• The GOV REG™ can be used with various gases (see technical data page 2), only use gases that are
approved for the operation of your system.
• The piston-based design does not clog, but do not insert any media into the GOV REG™, or never
insert any.
