21520, 21522, 21524 WOLF FILM DUPLICATORS
1. Indication for use
Wolf manufactures three sizes of x-ray duplicators, with screen sizes of 14" X 17", 10" X 12" and 6" X 12".
Our duplicators constructed of steel, finished in durable baked enamel and they can be used with any
available duplicating film. To operate the duplicators, simply place the film to be duplicated on the
plexiglass screen with a sheet of duplicating film on top, close the cover, set the exposure time and push the
button! The timer will signal when the exposure is complete.
2. Instructions for Use
It is always recommended to
A. USE ONLY DUPLICATING FILM
B. Open latch and lift cover
C. Place the original x-ray to be duplicated on top of the plate. Then place the duplicating film (emulsion
must be face down) on top of the original. Small notch must be on the UPPER RIGHT CORNER.
D. Close the cover and latch.
E. Depress the on-off switch
F. Rotate the timer dial
G. Average duplicating time is 10 seconds. This could vary by the density of the original or the desired
density of the duplicate.
H. Depress the timer dial. This will start the timer cycle. The display will show the remaining time and
chime when the cycle is complete.
I.
After duplication is complete, open the cover and remove the duplicated film. Process the duplicating
film in the same manner as regular x-ray film.
J.
If the density of the duplicate is too dark, increase the exposure time. If the duplicate is too light,
decrease the exposure time.
K. As long as the duplicator remains plugged in, the last timer setting will remain in memory.
NOTE: Duplicating film is a direct positive film. As such, the relationship of exposure to image density is
directly opposite that of dental x-ray film. Developing solutions must be kept constantly fresh. Failure to do
so will result in poor duplicates. Use manufacturers recommended developing instructions.
