    AMI RS232 Interface Functions of the AMI RS232 Interface Functions of the AMI RS232 Interface The AMI RS232 Interface has two functions: It allows the transfer of logger data onto a PC and the upgrade of AMI instruments with a new firmware.

SWAN Terminal The operating System Windows 7 does not any longer include the hyperterminal program. To be able to upload Firmware and down- load logger data, we recommend to install the SWAN Terminal pro- gram.

    AMI RS232 Interface Software Installation, Configuration 3.1.2 Functions of the Swan Terminal The Swan terminal has the following functions:  Downloading logger data from an AMI transmitter to a PC via RS232 interface.  Deleting logger data.  Upgrading of AMI instruments with a new firmware release.
  • Page 14 AMI RS232 Interface Software Installation, Configuration The Status bar indicates whether the Swan Terminal is connect- ed to a COM port. In the Function catalog the desired function (e.g. Download Logger) can be chosen. In the Baud rate selection drop down window select the same baud rate as the AMI transmitter has been set (normally it is set to 115200 baud).
