AIC 58828 Installation Instructions

The assembly of the water pump must be carried out in the following
steps:
Make sure that the vehicle is not in operation and the antifreeze solution has cooled down.

Disassemble the water pump in the correct order according to the pictures below.

Clean the mounting surface and check the fixing pins.

4 If necessary, install the water pump sensor and fit the synchronous belt.
Connect the pump assembly to the mounting surface, place all screws and tighten as shown in Figure 5.

6 Install the protective cover.
Install the warm air tube and coolant tube to complete the assembly replacement.

Safety instructions:

Fill the antifreeze after installation according to national standards.

Do not apply any sealant when installing the sealing ring.

The screw , for fastening the toothed belt drive wheel, has a left-hand thread and must be re-
placed after each change. Furthermore, the screw must be tightened with 10 Nm + 90° rotation
angle. The special tool T10360 is required for this. All other screws must be tightened to 9 Nm.

Improper installation of the water pump can cause the housing to break. Serious consequential damage
can occur due to the loss of cooling capacity, e.g. engine damage.
