W ORKBENCH PREPARATION Before installing the machine, check that the workbench corresponds to the following characteristics: Install the machine on a stable, level workbench. Provide a mark measuring of 360 mm x 600 mm on the workbench Do not place any obstacles (cabinet, shelf, etc.) lower than 600 mm above the workbench.

    If you connect the machine to an edger: connect the cable to the EDG 1 port using the RS232 cable provided. Contact your Briot dealer if you want to plug in other edgers.  In all cases, use the RS232 leads with the screening connected on both sides.

    Keep the machine away from any source of dust.  Any work carried out on the machine (with the cover open or closed) must be undertaken by a Briot technician.  Do not place your hands in the hazardous area during the machine’s mechanical movements.

Bring the lens to the vision zone by holding it perpendicular to the bearing surface. The thickness of the lens must enter fully in the measurement zone (in green), and the central line must be aligned in the middle of the lens.

The Digiform function allows any initial shape to be changed into a new pattern. For this purpose, follow this procedure: Switch over to the Digiform screen.
