This is important for its correct operation, avoiding vibration and noise.

    GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS CONT. CARBON DIOXIDE (CO2) For most draft beer dispensing systems, CO2 is the primary gas to get the beer out of the keg and into the glass. The pressurised gas from the CO2 cylinder/tank propels the beer through the keg coupler via the beer line.

GET TO KNOW THE KEGERATOR A kegerator (or draft beer system) is made up of a series of components that work together to provide you with a perfectly poured pint of beer. Knowing these components of equipment and having a basic understanding of how they work will help with keeping the system running smoothly and get the best results from the set up.

AIR LINE The air line (or hose) is a food-grade vinyl tube that will be used to transport the Carbon Dioxide (CO2) from the CO2 tank/cylinder (purchased separately), via the CO2 regulator, to the keg coupler. There is a hose clamp fitted onto one end of the air line hose.
  • Page 14 PRODUCT OVERVIEW CONT. DRAFT BEER FAUCET/TAP The draft beer faucet is the tap that the beer is dispensed from. The kegerator includes a quality 304 grade stainless steel tap. Like the beer lines, this tap should be regularly disassembled and cleaned for optimal performance and health/hygiene reasons.

    Setting up the Kegerator You can find a helpful video guide on the installation process on our website located at: https://www.harbour-appliances.com.au/kegerator/ Alternatively, please follow these steps to set up the Kegerator. NOTE! The default configuration of the Kegerator includes Adjustable Feet as standard.
  • Page 17 GETTING STARTED & SET-UP CONT. Tip! Use a soft towel, cardboard or blanket to protect your floor (and the kegerator) from damage or scratches. 1. Caster Installation Procedure a. Preparation: Clear the cabinet of all contents and place the unit on a clean, dry, and padded surface.

Soak the end of the air line (red hose) in warm water, as this will make it easier to push onto the barb fitting on the CO2 regulator. Push one end of the air line (red hose) on to the barb fitting of the CO2 regulator and lock into place by using one of the hose clamps (tighten with a Philips screw driver).

    Before operating the kegerator • Proper Installation: Ensure the Harbour Kegerator is correctly installed in an appropriate environment to maintain the ideal dispensing temperature for beer. Mount the draft tower as close to the kegerator's top as possible and seal any openings to prevent heat transfer.

Temperature settings guide The kegerator includes a thermostat dial near the internal light and light switch where you can change the temperature settings. • Temperature Adjustment: The settings ranging from 0 (OFF) to 7 (MAX) control the internal temperature of the kegerator.

    Frequently asked questions CAN I BUILD-IN THIS KEGERATOR UNDERCOUNTER? No, this unit is not intended for built-in use and is designed as a freestanding fridge. The fridge should be installed with a clearance of 70 mm at the sides and 70 mm at the rear. DO I NEED ANYTHING ELSE? This set up comes with essentially everything you need to get started, except for the CO2 cylinder (which you can source from your local keg supply stores or gas suppliers) and your beverage keg of choice.
  • Page 23 FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS CONT. WHAT TYPE OF KEG COUPLER DOES THE KEG REQUIRE? The majority of Australian kegs require either a D-Type coupler for the CUB portfolio or an A-Type coupler for the Lion portfolio. The majority of kegs from independent breweries also tend to use an A-Type coupler. Included in the Other Useful Information section of this user manual is a guide for common keg types in Australia, with their associated coupler type.

Place a check ball lifter in the coupler, engage the coupler, and place it in the bucket to collect spent water and cleaning solution. Disconnect the draft faucet using the spanner wrench.
  • Page 29 CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE CONT. Step 4: Reassemble the coupler Start putting the coupler back together by sliding the probe into the body, and then slide the handle over the probe and align the hinge pin holes. Insert the hinge pin and tighten the nut, making sure to not overtighten.
