1. General Description 45TRA100 is an addressable wireless expander module designed for operation with 41CPE118 addressable fire alarm panel. 45TRA100 is powered directly by the loop line and can be controlled via the communication protocol. 45TRA100 has a built-in isolator module. -

4. Installation Place and Mounting It is strongly recommended to design the Comelit wireless system in advance on paper, before starting the installation. The 45TRA100 expander module should be installed at 2-2.5m above the floor level. -

System Topology The 45TRA100 wireless expander module is powered on directly from the loop line and is addressed like all other addressable devices in the system architecture of 41CPE118 fire alarm panel. The enrolled to expander module Comelit series devices, operate in linear network. -

7. Connection to Loop Line 45TRA100 is connected and powered directly from LogiFire 41CPE118 loop line. The module is equipped with a built-in isolator module, which can be used or not, according the requirements of the fire alarm installation. -

9. Addressing of 45TRA100 to LogiFire 41CPE118 Fire Alarm Panel Every 45TRA100 module has a factory ID number for addressing in 41CPE118 fire alarm control panel. After the connection to the loop line and power-up of the module, the 41CPE118 panel will recognize it automatically with system name “45TRA100”. -

The access to programming mode and setup menus of 45TRA100 wireless expander module is limited for support engineers and maintenance technicians only. At normal operation mode, with no fault conditions, the screen of 45TRA100 is switched off and only the red LED for communication with wireless devices is blinking in 10 seconds intervals. -

12. Enrolling of Wireless Devices 45TRA100 wireless expander module supports operation with Comelit series wireless devices. The enrolment algorithm is common for all devices. 1. Prepare the device for enrolment. Remove the mounting base to access the PCB with the batteries compartment. -

This is a procedure that helps the engineer to find the exact location of every wireless device in the fire installation and test the connection with module. The Comelit series wireless fire alarm detectors are equipped with built-in buzzed for additional audio signalization in addition to the visual LED indication. The procedure of finding is common for all devices. -

In case of alarm, fault or warning event, the communication LED lights on in yellow. To review the active messages for events, the user has to press a random button on the front panel. -

The exit from the events’ reviewing mode is automatic after 2 minutes, if there is no button pressed or other operation. If currently there are no events, after pressing a random button, only Comelit text is displayed on the screen. -

PCB from the holder (item page 8, position 5). Undo the screws fixing the old PCB to the front cover and remove it. Take the new 45TRA100 PCB and mount it to the front cover (take out the memory PCB on it). -
