    1-3. G E N E R A L DESCRIPTION 1-4. T h e Elgar oscillators are contained i n a plug-in enclosure which can b e inserted into the front panel opening o f an Elgar Power Source. T h e plug-in enclosure contains a horizontally-mounted printed circuit board, and a t e r - minal connector which mates with a similar connector i n the power source.

    of 0.1%, 0.01%, and 0.0001% (see Figure 1 f o r an explanation o f model number- ing). T h e 0.01% and 0.0001% oscillators use a crystal-controlled oscillator. I n the 0.1% models, a square wave is generated b y positive feedback around t h e filter t o generate the basic frequency signal which is filtered i n two series operational amplifier filters.

    T h e carrier's claim agent will prepare a report of damage to be forwarded to the Elgar Repair Department. Yo u will be advised as to the action necessary to have the instrument repaired or replaced.

    I f an accurate phase-angle meter is not available, phase angles may b e determined b y line-to-line voltage measurements. T h e front-panel v o l t - meters in the Elgar power sources are only accurate to 1:3$ and are not suitable for precision phase angle adjustment.
