    You can connect up to four 4K external displays or two 5K and above displays using the Thunderbolt 4 (USB Type-C) ports available on your Precision 5490. You can connect the display without the use of USB-C or Thunderbolt 4 adapters or docking stations.

    Turn off the internal display There can be instances where you want to turn off the computer internal display to connect more external displays. You can turn off the display of your computer by using the Intel Graphics Command Center. To turn off the display: 1.

Then, connect the adapter or docking station to the Thunderbolt 4 (USB Type-C) port on your computer.
