1
Connect VuLink Telemetry or Data Logger
Use VuLink to network and transmit remote data from instruments. Add and
configure each instrument with the VuSitu mobile app. You can also connect
instruments to a 3rd party data logger.
2
Connect Up-Hole Cable
If you are using a vented cable splitter, use a vented up-hole cable.
3
Connect Cable Splitter
Always deploy with the female connector oriented down. Improper orientation can
result in data drop-outs or physical damage.
4
Connect Instrument to Female Connector (Vented)
Connect an instrument to the female down-hole connector. If you are using a
vented cable splitter, only the female connector is vented. Do not attach VuLink or
additional splitters to the female connector.
5
Connect Additional Cables to Male Connector
Connect additional cables, instruments, and splitters to the male down-hole
connector. The male side of the splitter is not vented.
6
Connect Additional Instruments
Network up to 8 instruments together. VuLink automatically sets a unique address
when each instrument is added in VuSitu. Connect one new instrument at a time and
add it to VuLink in VuSitu before connecting the next instrument.
If you are using a 3rd-party data logger, set a unique address for each instrument
before connecting the full cable network. You can configure instrument addresses
from the Instrument Settings menu in VuSitu.
