CETO UMR‐903 is a Universal Motion Remote with a motion
sensor, programmable for unparalleled energy savings up to
60% in the operation of any air‐conditioning system that
incorporates a built‐in remote‐control receiver. CETO can
detect human motion within a 25‐foot distance and control
the operation of an air‐conditioner according to the presence
of human motion and can be programmed to turn the air‐
conditioner completely off or have the setting temperature
increased to a desired setting for incredible energy savings.
It is capable of operating over 6,000 different brands and
models of air‐conditioners.
BRAND CODE Setting
Find the code from the brand code list. If there are too many
codes for one brand, try the first. If it doesn't work, please try
the second until it does work. For example: MITSUBISHI, first
you try '0476', if it doesn't work, try '0477'.
Press the 'SELECT' button for 3 seconds and the brand code
on the LCD will flash. Press
code appears. Pressing the 'MODE' button allows each press
to increase the code value in increments of a hundred. Then
press the 'ENTER' button, the brand code will stop flashing.
Setting is complete, and you can control your air conditioner.
AUTO‐SEARCH Code Setting
If you don't know the brand of your air‐conditioner or can't find
the required brand from the brand code list, please operate as per
the following steps:
Press and hold the 'SELECT' button for 6 seconds, then release it
(the code displayed on the LCD screen increases automatically).
When the air‐conditioner receives the corresponding signal and
produces a buzzer sound, press any button to confirm the setting
quickly.
After turning on the air conditioner, try other function buttons. If
they don't work, repeat above steps until they do.
PIR Human Detection Setting
The 'PIR' button is used for 'ECO' and 'DELAYED STOP' functions.
ECO function is the default setting for COOLING, HEATING and DRY
modes. The 'DELAYED STOP' function is disabled when CETO is in
ECO mode.
Every time the air conditioner is turned on or switched between
different modes, the ECO function sign will be displayed. In ECO
Mode, the air‐conditioner will automatically adjust temperature
settings once there is no motion detected within the given time.
In 'DELAYED STOP' mode, the unit will stop running after the set
time and will not turn back on automatically when motion is
detected.

DELAYED STOP
DELAYED STOP function is disabled when CETO is in ECO
Mode. To cancel the ECO setting and switch to DELAYED STOP,
press and hold the 'PIR' and 'ENTER' buttons for 3 seconds,
then press the 'PIR' button to enter the DELAYED STOP
setting.
Pressing the 'PIR' button at any time will cancel the DELAYED
STOP function. When CETO is turned OFF then back ON, it will
switch back to ECO as the default setting.
Default setting: Will turn off the A/C in half an hour
without any motion detection. This time is adjustable.
Setting method: Press 'TIMER' and 'SWING' buttons
simultaneously to enter the time setting mode. Then press
TEMP+ or TEMP‐ to adjust time, each press will increase or
decrease the setting for 0.5 hours (range is 0.5 – 4 hours).
Press 'ENTER' to finalize the setting.
Air‐conditioning unit will not turn back on automatically
when any motion is detected.
ECO Function
ECO function is the default setting for COOLING, HEATING
and DRY modes, and is active each time the air conditioner is
turned on or switched between different modes.
To cancel the ECO setting, press and hold the 'PIR' and
'ENTER' buttons for 3 seconds.
ECO setting is invalid in the FAN ONLY (Ventilation) mode.
Default setting: After 30/60 minutes, the temperature rises
to 26/28C in cooling mode, and 20/16C in heating mode.
Time and temperature are both adjustable.
Setting method: Press 'TIMER' and 'MODE' simultaneously
to enter the time setting. Then press TEMP+ or TEMP‐ to
adjust time. Each press increases 5 minutes (range is 5 – 60
minutes). Press 'ENTER' to finalize the setting.
Press 'TIMER' and 'FAN' simultaneously to enter the
temperature setting. Then press TEMP+ or TEMP‐ to adjust
the temperature of the first ECO period set. Each press
increases the temperature by 1C (range is 1 – 14C). Press
'ENTER' and the second period of temperature can be set.
Press 'ENTER' to confirm the settings.
In ECO mode when any motion is detected, the air‐
conditioning unit will reset back to its original setting.
