4. TOOLS It is important to use clean and non-greasy tools to correctly install the terminal. Adequate tools will help correctly install the removal protective nuts. Anchoring the terminal on level ground requires: a measuring stick, a spirit level, a standard toolbox (see below for details on the toolbox). 5. TRANSPORT, HANDLING AND STORAGE 5.1 Recommendations on the transport and handling of the terminals Transport and storage temperature: -20°C to +70°C. Normal operating temperature: -20°C to +36°C. 6. FLOOR PREPARATION 6.1 Floor space requirements Ensure that a free zone (hatched on the figure below) remains available around the terminal to allow its use by maintenance operators and users: 20 cm at the rear and on the sides of the terminal, 1 meter in front of the terminal.
6.2 Anchoring on flat ground 6.2.1 Recommendations regarding the ground For optimal installation on level ground, Flowbird recommends the following: a concrete substrate of C25/30 minimum quality, a minimum concrete thickness of 50 cm on a minimum floor space of 60 cm x 60 cm, a perfectly levelled surface: check the evenness of the ground with a spirit level.

6.2.3 Chemical anchoring on flat ground with Medium base This type of installation allows increasing the height of the terminal of 77mm to align with Strada Evolution 2 but WITHOUT respecting the accessibility requirements of the EN 12414: 2020 norm. Respect the positioning: the front of the base must be placed in a way to respect the orientation of the terminal to be installed. The rounded edges correspond to the rear of the terminal. The notch corresponding to the front of the terminal, must always be upward. Check that the water drain holes (3) of the base are not clogged.

6.3.4 In-hole anchoring (variable depth) This type of installation allows increasing the height of the terminal AND still respecting the accessibility requirements of the EN 12414: 2020 norme for Strada and a EVOL & Strada PAL terminals. For an installation at variable depth: The necessity to use or not the formwork depends on the installation height.

F. Remove the maintenance card from the reader. G. Operate the bolts with the square key. Open the upper door and hold the bolts in raised position for a few seconds until the electronic lock actuator gets back in position (the operator hears a spring noise). Holding the bolts in raised position with the square key for a few seconds after opening the door is necessary to avoid some technical issues associated with an incorrect repositioning of the electronic lock actuator.
7.6 Removing the terminal from the pallet Install and secure the terminal as soon as it is removed from the pallet. This operation has to be done with at least 2 persons. A. Unscrew the 4 M10 screws (1) that secure the terminal to the pallet, being careful not to tilt the terminal.
