1. Assemble Ground Mount Base
For installations that will have pedestals installed immediately*, secure
bolts as shown below:
*For installations that will not initially have a pedestal installed, see
Cover Assembly section.
2. Setting the Ground Mount Base in place
The Ground Mount Base must be concreted in place
according to local building codes
Minimum recommended concrete footing 0.3m
60kg of concrete when installed in compacted AP20 or
AP40. Non-compacted soil may require a significantly
larger footing.
It is recommended that the top edges of the Ground Mount Base are
positioned flush with the top of the finished surface as shown below -
unless the base of the Pedestal is to be hidden below a finish such as
gravel or chip.
The Ground Mount Base must be installed level and in the correct
orientation. A limited amount of levelling can be achieved with the
provided nuts. Evnex pedestals can be rotated in 90° increments to
achieve required orientation.
For immediate installations, extending the conduit above ground level
is recommended (note that this will prevent the optional Cover
Assembly being fitted).
Concrete should enter the side entries of the Ground
Mount Base and fill at least half of the internal void.
