Questions and answers
I have set the clock and on-off for the lamp plugged into our Chicago Electric Digital Timer (95205). The lamp went on and off as programed. However, when I got up in the middle of the night the lamp was on again. I then checked the unit with the program button looking for and additional program I may have hit by mistake--I can't find one. Any ideas?
The Chicago Electric Digital Timer (95205) may be turning the lamp on unexpectedly due to the "random mode" feature being activated. When the random mode is on (indicated by a small bubble on the display), the timer randomly turns the programmed events on or off within a 2 to 32-minute interval around the scheduled times. This feature is designed to make it appear like someone is home. To prevent unexpected activation, ensure the random mode is turned off by pressing the "week" and "hour" buttons to toggle the feature.
