ASSEMBLY ATTACHING THE QUICK RELEASE SHOULDER FIG. 3 LATCH HARNESS See Figure 3. OPERATION Depress the switch trigger. FIG. 6 LOAD To stop the motor: SECOND CUT Release the trigger to stop the pole saw. Upon release of the trigger, the trigger lock will auto- matically reset to the locked position. PREPARATION FOR CUTTING See Figures 6 - 7. OPERATION LIMBING AND PRUNING FIG. 8 See Figures 8 - 9. This unit is designed for trimming small branches and limbs up to 6 in. in diameter. For best results, observe the following precautions. Plan the cut carefully. Be aware of the direction in which the branch will fall. Branches may fall in unexpected directions. Do not stand directly under the branch being cut. The most typical cutting application is to posi- tion the unit at an angle of 60° or less, depend- ing on the specific situation, as shown. As the angle of the pole saw shaft to ground increases, the difficulty of making the first cut (from the 60° MAXIMUM underside of limb) increases. Remove long branches in several stages. Cut lower branches first to allow the top branch- es more room to fall. -
