    Battery application Battery use The electric wheelchair uses a 24V battery. This is a maintenance-free sealed lithium battery. The batteries are designed to handle deep discharges. Although they are similar in performance to car batteries, they cannot be replaced. Car batteries are not designed for long periods of deep discharge and are not safe for use in electric wheelchairs.
