FIRMWARE UPGRADE GUIDE
Following guide refers to devices based on Amlogic S928x.
What do you need:
Image file
Application for flashing devices based on Amlogic processors. Aml_Burn_Tool version no lower than 3.2.8.
Host PC
USB–OTG Cable
Supported host OS:
Windows 7 (32/64bit)
Windows 8 (32/64bit)
Windows 8.1 (32/64bit)
Windows 10 (32/64bit)
ATTENTION!
If you download full firmware (7z file contains ".img" file, this guide and Aml_Burn_Tool) please read
following instructions.
1. You need to download the firmware archive. Make sure, using current firmware fits your device, otherwise it
could cause harmful consequences.
2. Unpack 7z archive. In directory, you can find firmware file ".img" and Aml_Burn_Tool.
3. Install Aml_Burn_Tool. During installation, you should allow to install additional drivers for Amlogic devices
detection.

- Page 2 4. Run and change language in menu. 5. Open firmware file (Setting - Load Img) and press “Start”.
- Page 3 6. Connect device to PC via USB-OTG cable. For AM8 use USB-A – USB Type-C OTG cable, for SK1 is USB-A – USB-A OTG cable. 7. Press and hold the “Recovery” button. The SK1 has a “Recovery” button located inside the 3.5mm audio jack.
- Page 4 10.When PC detects device, reflashing process starts automatically. If the process has not started, you should check Amlogic drivers in device manager and repeat it’s installing.
- Page 5 11. After reflashing device has finished you will see message "Burn Success”. 12.Disconnect device and host PC.
