QUICK START
GUIDE
for UTF models
INSTALLATION INFORMATION
Please be sure to follow all instructions below when
installing this product.
PREPARE
1.
Cut a 3.25" hole into the roof or wall in which you want to install the
fan. We recommend using a hole saw to perform this cut very easily.
If installing a UTF-SLR-04-L, be sure to press the button on the
bottom of the fan unit. This will activate the motion light for 3
seconds and then the light will turn off. If you do not press this
button prior to installation, the light will not operate.
INSTALL
2.
Unscrew the holding plate from the back of the fan unit. Slide the
included gasket over the fan unit threads.
Note: If installing on an uneven surface, we recommend applying
roofing grade weatherproof sealant around the hole to ensure a
tight seal around the fan unit.
Insert the fan into the hole. Screw the holding plate onto the fan and
secure tightly. Be sure to not tighten it too tight or the fan will not
operate.
