Meade 2120 Quick Start Manual

FOR SALE: Meade 2120 10inch f/10 Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope and mount
I'm selling my Meade 2120 10inch f/10 Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope that is now too heavy for me to use as
I approach 70.
The telescope is in excellent working condition, clean optics (I have never cleaned it), free of marks and has
been stored in a conservatory. The telescope and mount were purchased in 1991 from Broadhurst, Clarkson
and Fuller, London, and are pre-GOTO. I believe that the telescope was manufactured in the USA.
What is included:
• The OTA
• Mount (this includes the RA motor) and tripod
• Declination motor (this operates an arm that connects to the OTA so movement is limited to the
length of the screw thread)
• Control box
• Celestron 8x50 polaris finderscope, the rectile illuminator does not illuminate as the required battery
is no longer available.
• Manual
• OTA camera mount
• Mount for Telrad finder
• Mains transformer to power the mount.
What is not included and to note:
• Any eyepieces
• Telrad finder
• The control box has no digital readout (and never did).
• The star diagonal as shown on the manual cover.
• Whilst the mount is pre-GOTO the OTA would be perfect for remounting onto a modern mount (I'm
presuming that the OTA can be removed from the forks).
