User Guide RollAble Ramp
The RollAble Ramp is designed to allow wheelchairs, scooters and trolleys to
overcome steps, kerbs and thresholds. The RollAble ramp can also be used as a
bridge ramp.
Safety
This RollAble ramp is designed to allow wheelchairs, scooters, walkers, ATV's,
motorbikes, goods and trolleys to overcome heights. It is designed to be used at a
smooth gradient, please refer to our website for the maximum load height or contact
our team if you are unsure. The maximum load height is based on what you are
loading.
Please note the RollAble ramp is not suitable for solid wheels such as those found on
flightcases or pallet trucks. Do not load items with a tyre diameter of under 20cm.
Do not exceed the maximum load height or capacity.
Please ensure to regularly check the nuts on the ramp are tight prior to use and tighten
them with the tools provided where required.
If the ramp becomes damaged in anyway please do not use the ramp.
Take additional care when using the ramp in wet/damp or icy weather conditions.
Regularly check the fixings on the ramp are secure and tighten bolts when required.
Take care when the ramp is rolled not to catch fingers in the holes or gaps of the ramp
Where the ramp is over 8ft in length the support legs provided should be used at all
times.
Please use the provided tools. Do not assemble using power tools.
Warranty
The Ramp People offer a 1-year warranty with the RollAble ramp.
Maximum capacity
The maximum capacity of the ramp is 453kg.
Maximum gradient
Maximum recommended gradient for loading goods such as trolleys, mowers or
unoccupied scooters: 1:3.3
Maximum recommended gradient for occupied assisted manual wheelchairs: 1:6
Maximum recommended gradient for occupied unassisted manual wheelchairs,
electric wheelchairs, scooters and walkers: 1:8.

  • Page 3 Figure 4 – Anti-pinch covers Anti-pinch covers are provided on both sides of the RollAble ramp, we recommend using these at all times. If you wish to remove a section of the ramp you will also need to remove the relevant anti-pinch cover.
  • Page 4 Figure 7 - Fixing Plate and screws Fixing plates are available for those who wish to secure the ramp to the step. This is an additional purchase and not included with the ramp. Figure 8 – Wheels and Fixings Wheels are available as an additional purchase. These are provided with fixings to secure them to the ramp.
  • Page 5 Setting Up The Ramp Unpacking the ramp This RollAble ramp is provided assembled at your chosen length. Please unroll the ramp ready for use. Please take care when rolling or unrolling the ramp as to not catch your fingers or clothing in the ramp.
  • Page 6 The foot (base) of the ramp should rest securely on the floor as per the below image Following use we suggest the ramp is rolled for storage and clipped shut using the black safety strap. When carrying the ramp please hold the ramp using the carry handles (See green arrow).
  • Page 7 Once the fixings are removed you will have two separate sections Utilise the fixings provided with the leg kit to attach it to the ramp. Ensure to tighten the parts with the allen key and spanner. Once secure, put the ramp in place and check it is safe to use.   • Page 8 Handrails can be purchased to be used with the RollAble ramps, they are purchased separately at an additional charge. The RollAble ramps can be used with a single handrail (handrail on one side) or a double handrail (handrail on either side) depending on your preference.
  • Page 9 Handrail Parts 2 The items in the below image are used to secure the handrail onto the RollAble Ramp. Please note, as the handrail is modular the number of parts you have will vary depending on your chosen handrail length however you will have the below number of fixings as a minimum.

  • Page 11 Align the RollAble Handrail Base Tubes on the external side of the RollAble ramp. Align the metal plates from RollAble Handrail Fixings Part 1 on the internal side of the ramp. Put the screws through the holes in the base tube and through the ramp and align the washer. The screw head should be on the external side of the ramp, the washer internally.
  • Page 12 RollAble Handrail Fixings Part 2 Step 2 Assemble the RollAble Handrails onto the RollAble handrail base tube. Select the RollAble Handrail Bars and three-way orange connector Line up the holes of the handrail bars and handrail base tube with the three-way connector.
  • Page 13 Select the four-way orange connector to attach the U-shaped rail to the end of the Rollable ramp. The four-way orange connectors are also used to connect any additional lower-level handrail bars where applicable. Line the four-way connector up with the holes on the handrail base bar, U shaped bar (where applicable) and handrail bar.
