Preparation Preparing instructions 2. LUBRICATION (SEE FIG. B1) NOTE: Chain life and cutting capacity depend on optimum lubrication. Therefore, the chain is automatically oiled during operation. a. Set chain saw on any suitable surface with oil tank cap facing upward. b.

Double the power cable about 3cm from the end. Lead the loop through the hole on the back of the chain saw rear handle and hook the loop over the cable hook.

Operation Operating instructions 3. CHECKING THE CHAIN BRAKE (SEE FIG. F) The chain brake must be checked before every use of the saw! Start the tool as described above (have a secure footing, place the chain saw on the ground so that the saw chain and guide bar are not near anything).

However, kickback can still occur with this saw. The following steps will reduce the risk of kickback. Use both hands to grip saw while saw is running.

Maintenance Maintenance Replace the guide bar and saw chain as follows: 1) Place the tool on a solid, level surface. 2) Grip the tool-free lock knob and turning it anti-clockwise to loosen the drive sprocket cover and take off the drive sprocket cover. (See Fig. K1) 3) Remove the old bar and chain to expose the bar pad.
