・Overview
The SCB111-MB-NB is a Meter-Bus to NB-IoT Router. It reads data
from Meter-Bus (M-Bus) in Master mode with EN1434-3 protocol
and send to remote server via MQTT protocol by NB-IoT cellular
technology.
The ultra lower power consumption design enables power saving
mode, and the power supply self discharge is low by lithium battery.
The system default adopted an 14500mAh Li-SOCl
battery for 1 meter, 3 years operating with data upload hourly.

SIM Card Installation
SCB111MB supports Nano-SIM socket for Nano-SIM. Open the
cover of the socket, install the Nano SIM in the right position, and
lock the SIM socket cover. It is suggested to perform the above
process after disconnect the battery for 4 minutes.
Battery Compartment & Battery Cable
The device is shipping with one Battery, the battery capacity is
printed on the battery enclosure. During shipping, the battery is not
connected to the system. Therefore, the user needs to un-lock the
box cover and connecting the power cable onto the system board.
Before this operating, it is suggested to install SIM-Card first before
connecting power. Ensure the connector plug into the socket exactly.
Battery Replacement
Disconnect the power connector from the system board first, and let
it stand for 4 minutes to consume the rest energy after the batter
removal. Install new battery and plug the power connector onto the
system.
Note: Ensure the specification of Li-Battery is comply with the
original one. Check the specification next page.
M-Bus Connection
The device supports one M-bus master mode channel with 10 M-bus
meters driven capability. The communication reliability may affect by
the poor quality cable or rust connection. There is one 2-Pin removal
able terminal connector for M-bus. The communication line goes
through the cable gland and connects to the terminal connector and
tightens the screws, then locking the cable gland to provide water
resistance.

JP1 – Jumper for operating mode setting
The device supports off-line firmware upgrade function. The JP1 is
mode selection jumper. Its default setting is 2-3 short for normal
operating, and short 1-2 pin will get into firmware upgrade mode
and programming new firmware via the USB and STM32 software
tool which performs by windows. All of the firmware upgrade
instruction refer to the firmware release note, please.

Installation

Installation & Fixation
The device supports 2 Φ4.5mm fixation holes for wall mounting. It
suggests uses a "cross recessed pan-head self-tapping screw" to lock on
the wall. The specification of the screw is M4 with 8~10mm in length.
To install on the cement wall, it needs a plastic expanding bolt to assist
the screw to tighten. The length of screw depends on the specification of
expanding bolt.
