2.1.1. The BBS-800S automatic best battery selector is a diode isolator that connects an independent battery to a starting motor (the load). The isolation system allows current to flow from the battery to the load, but not the reverse. The BBS-800S is typically paired with a second BBS-800S for redundant battery applications. -

For continued operation within specification, periodically check DC cable connections to ensure that fasteners are tight and all metal is free from corrosion. -

4.5. Operating Voltage 0 to 120VDC Nominal The BBS-800S is rated for operation in DC systems up to 120VDC nominal, including battery systems that have actual DC system voltages that may be as high as 160 volts under certain operating conditions.
