What is a Channel Programmer? An explanation for householders Programmers allow you to set ON and OFF time periods (Programs) for your Central Heating & Hot Water. Some models switch the Central Heating & Hot Water ON and OFF at the same time while others allow the Hot Water and Central Heating to come ON and go OFF at different times. -

An Introduction to your ES3247BRF Your ES3247BRF can automatically switch your Central Heating or Hot Water ON & OFF up to 3 times per day at whatever times you choose. Timekeeping is maintained through power interruptions by a replaceable internal battery (by a qualified installer/electrician only). -

Basic Settings Setting the Time & Date The time & date are factory set and changes between sum- mer and winter time are handled automatically by the unit. 1. Move the slider to the TIME/DATE position, you should see the hour flashing. Use the buttons to adjust. -

Boost. Resetting Your ES3247BRF Press the RESET button with a non-metallic pointed tool to reset the unit. After resetting your ES3247BRF, temper- atures will appear as ‘-- --’ and RF icons will flash until they have re-established their connections. -

Programming Your ES3247BRF Factory Pre-Set Programs Your ES3247BRF has been designed to be simple to use, requiring minimal user intervention with a pre-programmed heating profile. The pre-set heating times will suit most people, (see table below). To accept the factory pre-set times, move the slider which will revert the programmer to Run Mode. -

Switch the slider to ZONE 1 & 2 and use the button to select from the following: • 5-2 DAY – Weekdays will run 1 program; weekends can be set to a different program. • 24 HOUR – Every day will run the same programs. •... - Page 14 4. Setting Hot Water Programs ZONE 3. Choose between 5-2 DAY, 1. Move the slider to 24 HOUR or 7 DAY programmer option (see page 13). 2. Press the Next ►► button. Press the DAY button to select the desired day/block of days you want to program. -

Setting the Operation Mode 1. Move the slider to PROG. Press the Next ►► button to move between zones 1, 2 & 3. Use the +/- buttons to move between ON/OFF/ONCE/AUTO. ON: Heating and/or Hot Water will be ON continuously, overriding any programs that have been set. -

Operating Your ES3247BRF Temporary Overrides Advance Function (ADV) The ADVANCE function (ADV) allows the user to bring the next Heating or Hot Water program forward to the current time without having to change any programs. ADV will bring the next program forward when the Operation Mode is set to AUTO or ONCE and the slider must be set to RUN. -

Boost Function (+HR) The +HR function allows the user to have 1, 2 or 3 hours of extra Heating or Hot Water without having to change any programs. +HR is only available when the Operation Mode is set to ONCE, AUTO or OFF and the slider must be set to RUN. -

N.B. It is advisable to set Holiday Mode to 1 day less than the time you will be away so your house and Hot Water are back up to temperature for your return.
