Quick Start Installation Guide
Congratulations in purchasing the Stealth Il accelerator. Before replacing your existing
accelerator take a moment to read these installation instructions. They presume that you
are familiar with your computer system. If you are not, you may need to seek assistance
from your dealer or consult your computer operations manual for guidance. On-line help
files located on the installation CD, provide detailed installation instructions and other
information about your new Stealth II card.
Important—Before you remove your old graphics card, be sure to disable your current
video driver by performing the following steps:
For Windows 95: Open your Display Control Panel. Next, select the Settings tab and
click the Change Display Type button, Next, click the Change button under Adapter
Type. Select the Show All Devices radio button and scroll to the top of the left window
and select Standard Display Types. In the right window select Standard Display Adapter
(VGA). Click OK.
For Windows NT 4.0: In order to change the display adapter you must first be logged in
as an administrator or have administrative privileges. Right click on the desktop (or click
Start; then Settings; followed by Control Panel and click Display). Then click the
Settings tab and click Display type. Click the Change button and choose the VGA
Compatible display adapter. Then click OK. You will then be prompted to insert the
Microsoft NT 4.0 CD, do so and click OK. Click Close, then Close again. When
prompted whether to reboot, click OK.
