I received a RJ17R1 for Christmas. I mixed a cake with it once and was quite pleased with it. At 76 I don’t do a lot of baking. I made sure I had a full charge on it because it had not been used since February. Cannot get the beaters in. My husband cannot get the beaters in. I realize there is a left and a right for installing the beaters correctly. I threw my old kitchenaid which was still working away. Can you help me solve this problem?

To install the beaters correctly on the Chefman RJ17-R1-CA mixer:

1. Ensure the mixer is unplugged from its charger and the power is off.
2. Identify the beater with a round collar around its shaft.
3. Insert the beater with the collar into the larger port on the motor body, aligning the two tabs with the grooves in the port. Push until it clicks into place.
4. Insert the beater without the collar into the smaller port, aligning the tabs with the grooves, and push until it clicks into place.

To protect against the risk of electrical shock, do not put the motor housing in water or other liquids.

Keep hands, hair, clothing, and utensils away from beaters during operation to reduce the risk of personal injury and/or damage to the mixer. Remove beaters from the mixer before washing. Recharge only with the DC power adapter specified by the manufacturer.

    OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE FIRST USE For best results, follow these steps before using your hand mixer for the first time. Remove all packaging materials, and check to ensure that all parts and accessories are accounted for. Wipe down the motor body with a damp cloth to remove any packaging residue.

    MIXING TIPS • To avoid splatter, do not turn on the mixer until the beaters are immersed in the ingredients in a bowl. Likewise, be sure to turn the mixer off before removing it from the bowl. Never take the mixer out of a mixture while it is running.

    CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE With the mixer off, press the BEATER EJECT button to release the beaters. Wash the beaters in warm, soapy water or in the dishwasher (top rack or utensil basket) and dry thoroughly. Wipe down the motor body with a damp cloth or paper towel if needed.
