    INTRODUCTION USEFUL INFORMATION FOR SAFE RIDING This manual contains the word WARNING to indicate something that could hurt you or others. It also contains the word CAUTION to indicate things that could damage your motorbike. Please familiarize yourself with the visual keys on page 7 of this manual.

    KEY FOB The key FOB that ships with the GEN7 is unique to your motorbike. The key FOB is used to activate the bike, open and close the main battery compartment, and disengage the anti-theft feature (or alarm function; see page 29).     THE LOCKING MECHANISM The GEN7 employs a spring- loaded, servo-actuated mechanism comprising a locking rod (arrow 3) and an actuator (arrow 4) to keep the battery compartment closed and locked. SHOCK HAZARD Always turn battery main breaker switch “off” before connecting or disconnecting any battery or motorbike cables. MAINTENANCE Breaker should be set to “off” position during extended periods of non-use.

    CHARGER Your GEN7 ships with a 5-hour smart charger. The GEN7 charger operates on a US standard 110v outlet. The GEN7 charger will also operate on 220v, when using a proper universal adapter. Regardless of the power source, the charge time is 5-hours.

    BATTERY INSTALLATION & REMOVAL TO REMOVE THE BATTERY 1. Ensure the locking rod is retracted prior to shutting off the main breaker. If the locking rod has relaxed to its extended position, tapping the Key FOB to the RFID sensor again will retract the locking rod again.
  • Page 22 SHOCK HAZARD Flip main breaker switch to “off” position before disconnecting or reconnecting the battery. MAINTENANCE Leave battery compartment door open or retract battery locking rod if main breaker is set to “off” position or if battery is removed. Easy removal of battery is handy if you want to charge your battery off the bike, or if you want to change batteries.
  • Page 23 BATTERY STATE OF CHARGE VISUAL READOUTS, TEST BUTTON Along the top portion of the GEN7 battery (see arrow 1 at left) you will see a built-in visual readout strip and a red TEST button. These will assist you by indicating current battery charge status.

    CHARGING UP THE GEN7 TWO WAYS TO CHARGE The GEN7 battery can be charged with the battery on-board, or while removed from the battery compartment. Both methods utilize the same charger, and connection types. The onboard connection is located on the front left face of the battery compartment (see arrow 1 at left).

    STARTING THE GEN7 KEY FOBS Your motorbike is supplied with two key FOBS (one is a spare) which serve to start the electrical systems and unlock the battery compartment. We recommend keeping the duplicate key FOB together with its code in a safe place and not on the motorbike.

    DEACTIVATING THE GEN7 DISABLING THE THROTTLE You may disable the throttle grip input without powering off the motorbike. To do this, simply press the red ignition button, located on the right grip of the GEN7. DEACTIVATING THE MOTORBIKE To deactivate the motorbike, simply touch the M insignia on the FOB sensor.

    SILENT ALARM If the motorbike is turned off with a single tap of the M on the FOB sensor a single set of chirps will be heard, and the motorbike’s silent alarm will automatically arm in 2 minutes. After AUDIBLE ALARM arming, the motorbike awaits a disturbance.

    RUNNING MODES Your GEN7 has three running modes: Walking Mode, Economy Mode, and Sport Mode. To toggle between these modes, use the Mode Selector switch on the right handle bar (see arrow 1 at right). SAFETY Do not switch drive modes unless the GEN7 is at a complete stop.
