1. Introduction
The SLEXT was designed to extend the RF range of any SL
Controller . It can also be used to control any load up
to13A/3000w resistive load while still acting as range extender.
2. Installation
Care should be taken when installing the range extender.
The maximum cable the SLEXT can accept is 2.5mm
range extender is supplied with a mounting bracket allowing
it to be screwed to any vertical or horizontal surface. When
refitting the lid ensure to align the light pipe on the lid with
the indicator light.
Using the SLEXT as range extender only.
If the SLEXT is being used as an range extender only, It should
be wired to a 3A fuse. In this operation nothing will be
connected to the output.
Using SLEXT to control Load
If the SLEXT is controlling a load it should be wired to a 13A
fuse. The SLEXT must not be covered to avoid over heating.
The controlled load should be connected to the output of
the SLEXT. If being used to control heating It should not be
mounted directly above or behind the heater,
should be mounted on side 250mm from the heater.
3. Operation
The illustration below shows how the SLEXT can be used as a
range extender

3. Operation cont.
When the range extender is connected to the mains supply,
the LED indicator will light up green, showing that the power
is available to the unit.
When the output has been enabled by a controller, the LED
indicator light will turn red.
This Product can only be used when connected to any SL

wireless controller. Each SL controller can control any
number of range extenders providing they are in the RF
range.
