WARNING
 Safety of ALFATORR is warranted only by proper
use of these instruction which must be kept.
 Installation must be done by qualified personnel
only after power supply disconnecting

Before any operation, switch off the power supply.

Install ALFATORR only on the external side of the
electrical enclosure roof, in horizontal position.

ALFATORR series is fitted with dedicated ground
terminal, it must be connected with an adequate
ground circuit according to to the local norms and
safety regulations which govern the use of electrical
material;

Upstream of the electrical connection, an efficient
disconnection system must be provided

Electrical enclosure roof must be sized according to
ALFATORR dimensions and weight.

Protection against access to live parts must be
warranty by installer.

Don't install ALFATORR in ambient with excessive
moisture and dirt

Installation position of ALFATORR must be selected
to ensure good ventilation. Take care that any
internal/external components of enclosure don't
obstruct air passage.

Follow all technical data shown in this manual.
1 - DESCRIPTION
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
ALFA TORR is a roof fan
series specially designed
to avoid temperatures
rising inside of electrical
enclosures. It must be
installed with an inlet filter
mounted on the bottom
position on enclosure
side.

This manual contains the information necessary for
the product to be installed correctly and also
instructions for its maintenance and use; we therefore
recommend that the utmost attention is paid to the
following instructions.
Though this manual has been issued with the
greatest care, ALFAELECTRIC will not take any

2 - INSTALLATION
2.1 GENERAL DESCRIPTION
ALFATORR must be installed by screws on the
external side of the electrical enclosure roof, in
horizontal position. Enclosure roof must be cut like is
shown by cut-out template printed on ALFATORR
box.
2.2 INSTALLATION
WARNING: before installation check
enclosure roof is adequate to support
ALFATORR weight.

Make the fixing hole on the enclosure as shown
in the drilling template printed on packing side

Connect a three poles cable (minimum section
3x1mm2) to the terminal how is explained by
label pasted near of terminal on the bottom of roof
fan.

Remove the nuts and washer

Remove the protection film from the gasket and
apply the gasket on the bottom of roof fan.

Mount the roof fan on the top of enclosure
according to the drilling template with nuts and
washers against unscrewing
on

Connect the unit with the power supply according
to model needs.
WARNING: upstream of the electrical connection,
an efficient disconnection system must be
provided
WARNING: connect ground terminal with an
adequate ground circuit according to the local
norms and safety regulations which govern the
use of electrical material
3 – ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
3.1 GENERAL DESCRIPTION
ALFATORR is fitted with a screw terminal which
allows to connect cable section up to 2,5mm2

Before any operation, switch off the power
supply.

Install the lamp only inside an electrical
enclosure.
Connect the ALFATORR to the power supply with a
minimum section cable 1mm2.
4 - OPERATING
The ALFATORR, once connected to the power
supply, makes an air flow from internal side to
external side of enclosure.
To regulate the function of ALFATORR according to
temperature inside of cabinet is suggested to install a
thermostat (Alfaelectric THV series) like is shown by
following picture:

5 - VERSIONS
Standard version of ALFATORR shall ensures a
protection degree up to IP44, version of ALFATORR
with F at the end of the code has an IP54, this version
is fitted with a filter installed on the bottom roof fan.
See next section for filter maintenance
6 - CLEANING, MAINTENANCE

Before any operation, switch off the power
supply.
Cleaning and maintenance must be done only by
specialized people after switching off power supply.
For cleaning use only a wiper.
ONLY for versions with IP54 is possible to clean
or change the filter following these instruction:

Leverage with a screwdriver on plastic grill
power supply 
Remove the grill and take off the filter

Replace the filter or clean it with compressed air

Re-install the filter and plastic grill
