2. General information Declaration of Conformity The DUPLEX F2 printer is CE marked. A declaration of conformity is available on our website. Testing The printer is tested directly by the Manufacturer during the phase of assembly and testing.
ROI. DUPLEX F2 printer’s two-directional printing technology not only speeds up the printing process but also reduces or eliminates the use of support materials and makes it easy to print organic geometries without any loss of print quality.
Intended use DUPLEX F2 printer is designed and intended to be only used for fused deposition modeling (FDM) of three-dimensional models from authorised filaments (PLA, ASA). Use of any unsuitable materials may cause negative printing results and damage to the printer which will void the manufacturer's warranty and liability.

12. The DUPLEX jaws are used in two-directional printing to hold the print material in the air so the build plate can be removed. These jaws have two positions: open and closed.
The warranty only covers DUPLEX 3D-validated materials. Material compatibility The DUPLEX F2 printer is tested and compatible with the following materials: PLA, ASA. Any available colour can be used. For optimal printing, choose from the printing profiles on the filament menu point of the display that were previously tested.
5. Safety instructions The DUPLEX F2 was designed to be safe, but accessing some areas of the printer can require precaution. The following safety tips are given to ensure safe installation, operation, and maintenance of the DUPLEX F2 printer. Failing to use the printer in the manner specified by the manufacturer may lead to unsafe operating conditions, so read and follow all safety instructions posted on the printer and in the written manual.

The DUPLEX F2 contains four fan heaters and two oscillating fans. Do not touch the fan blades when moving. Be aware that the blades can cause injuries Fan blades even if the fan is not turned on.
Page 27
Hot surface hazards The DUPLEX F2 was designed to be safe, therefore the opening of the door shuts the oven heaters off. Always allow the printer to cool down before opening the door. After cooling down the following components still can be hot and hazardous to touch.
Some materials may require different humidity conditions. Protection systems The DUPLEX F2 is provided with an automatic protection system that reduces the potential risks. These safety functions are the following: • Emergency stop button: In case of hazardous conditions, it is possible to press the emergency button located next to the display to switch off the power in the printer.
Page 29
DUPLEX jaws to close while the door is open. • Overheating block: The DUPLEX F2 is designed with a control system to prevent the overheating of its parts by blocking the heating parts as the temperatures recorded overcome the safety threshold.
Please avoid using any unauthorised filaments. Always pay particular attention to the plate, the heads Moving parts and the DUPLEX jaws when moving them with the door open. After heating any part of the printer, pay particular Hot surfaces attention to hot surfaces marked with safety symbols.
Never wear a tie, loose clothing or dangling jewellery when working around moving components of the printer. Operator obligations The DUPLEX F2 is not intended for use by persons with lack of experience and knowledge, unless they are supervised or have been given instructions concerning the use of the printer.
6. Site preparation and set up This chapter helps to select the right location for the DUPLEX F2 and prepare the installation site. Below you will also find the information on transporting, unpacking and preliminary set-up, however, depending on the agreement DUPLEX 3D GmbH or its representatives will supervise or carry out these processes.
12. Figure: Physical dimensions of the DUPLEX F2 Space requirements Choose a solid, smooth, levelled surface (1-2 cm unevenness can be levelled with the wheels) without any holes that complies with the following requirements. Consider that the printer should not be placed near to strong vibration or free liquids.
Environmental requirements The DUPLEX F2 printer can operate in any controlled environment. For the optimal operation of the printer, the following environmental requirements must be ensured. It is essential to keep the temperature and humidity within the recommended values as these conditions affect print quality and the life cycle of the electronic devices.
Although the information in this chapter relates to the arrival of the printer, you can also use this information for future transportations. Please note that the transporting and unboxing processes should only be carried out by DUPLEX 3D authorized engineers. DUPLEX3D GmbH...
