PDU16A EXTERNAL BYPASS Presentation This external bypass (PDU16A) has been specially designed for UPS from 1 to 3 kVA. In Normal Mode, the grid powers the UPS which in turn powers the output load. In Bypass Mode, the output load is powered directly by the grid and the UPS is completely isolated. PDU16A EXTERNAL BYPASS NEVER CONNECT MORE THAN ONE PDU16A TO A SINGLE UPS Operation This device can work in Normal Mode and in Bypass Mode. The rotary switch (D) is used to toggle between these two modes. Normal Mode During Normal Mode, the grid voltage powers the UPS which, in turn, powers the load. If power failure occurs the UPS will use its batteries to keep powering the load. -
