Removing the drawer Open the drawer and remove the plastic tray for coins and bills. Pull the drawer out as far as it will go, tilt the front edge of the drawer upwards, and pull the drawer out at an angle. Maintenance Cash drawer slides should be cleaned and lubricated periodically.
