SALT CREEK SL SET UP INSTRUCTIONS
1. Remove contents from stuff sack. Spread out the tent body.
2. Stake out the four corners of the tent body.
3. Assemble the two poles: One main pole with one 4-way hub and one short straight cross
pole. To ensure each pole section is fully seated, insert each pole section into the next by
hand, instead of allowing the shock cord to snap them together.
4. Position the assembled main pole on top of the tent body. Match the colors of the pole
ends with the matching colors of webbing on the tent body.
5. Insert the pole tips into the grommets at the four corners of the tent.
6. Attach the corresponding plastic tent clips on the tent body to the main pole.
7. Locate the two "CHL Swivel Hubs" on the main pole and attach the two "H Clips" on the top
of the tent body.
8. Place the cross pole across the top of the main pole inserting the rings on the cross pole
into the open "CHL Swivel Hubs". Click top of swivel hub closed.
9. Clip the ends of the cross pole into the clear plastic "Ball Cap" clips that are located above
the doors of the tent body.
10. Drape the fly over the tent body and match the colors of the webbing on the fly with the
webbing on the body.
11. Insert the tips of the cross pole into the small pockets located on the underside of the fly.
12. Attach all Velcro tabs on the underside of the fly to the corresponding pole sections for
best stability.
13. Make sure the webbing at the corners of the fly is completely slackened. Attach the buck-
les on the fly to those on the tent body.
14. Tighten the webbing on each buckle as needed to keep fly taut.
15. Stake out the vestibules then stake out remaining guylines.
16. Low Vent Set Up: For increased ventilation, hook the cord located at the bottom of the
vestibule door to the toggle at the top of the zipper located on the underside of the fly.
17. Awning Set Up: Unzip the two zippers at the head-end of the tent, attach extra guylines
(included in stake bag) to corner cord loops, adjust trekking poles to desired height, insert
trekking pole tips through grosgrain loop or cord loop on corners of panel. Stake out
guylines.
Separate 6" length pole segment included for emergency
field repair. Slide repair pole over the break to act as a splint.
If you purchase the optional Big Agnes footprint for your tent, it will enable you to pitch a
shelter while leaving the tent body behind. The Fast Fly configuration requires the footprint,
fly, poles and stakes.

Lay the footprint on the ground and stake out.

Position the assembled main pole on top of the footprint matching the colors of the pole
ends with the colors of the webbing on the footprint.

Insert the pole tips of the main pole into the grommets at the corners of the footprint.
5.
Insert the tips of the cross pole into the small pockets located on the underside of the fly.
6.
With the cross pole now attached to the fly drape the fly over the pole frame.
7.
Match the webbing colors on the fly with the matching colors of webbing on the foot-
print.
8.
Attach all Velcro tabs on the underside of the fly to the corresponding pole sections for
best stability.
9.
Make sure the webbing at the corners of the fly is completely slackened. Attach the buck-
les on the fly to those on the footprint.
10. Tighten the webbing on each buckle as needed to keep the fly taut.
11. Stake out the vestibules then stake out all remaining guylines.

Secure splint in place with tape.
