Re-pairing Your Android Device with
the Bluetooth PowerLift Command
Box
For readability, the PowerLift Command Box is
abbreviated to PLCB! Please remember that
Bluetooth is a wireless computer network. The
maximum distance between devices is stated
as 30 feet, and that is subject to interference
and other devices nearby. Please follow these
steps:
1.
Please verify that the PowerLift
Command Box (PLCB) is turned on.
Sometimes, it is beneficial to cycle the
PLCB: turn the power off to the PLCB,
let is sit for approximately one minute,
then turn the power on to the PLCB.
2.
Verify that the green LED on the front
of the PLCB is on and flashing.
Step 1 – Reset the Android Tablet
Bluetooth
1.
On the Android Tablet (or device of
your choosing) you need to go into the
Settings. On the MLCS Android Tablet,
the Settings is below the Home
Screen, and it has a gear as its icon.
You will need to swipe up to get to this
app.
2.
Tap the Settings icon.
3.
Once you enter the settings, locate the
Connected Devices (Bluetooth)
section, this is typically at the very top
of the settings listing.
Tap on the word "Connected Devices",
4.
this will take you into the Bluetooth
pairing screen.

5.
To verify that Bluetooth is on, tap on
Connection Preferences, then tap on
Bluetooth and verify that the slider
switch is in the on position.
6.
If the Bluetooth is off, slide the switch
to the on position. If the Bluetooth was
already turned on, slide the switch to
the off position, wait 15 seconds, and
slide the switch to the on position.
7.
These steps ensure that the Bluetooth
pairing is "clean".
Step 2 – Check for Prior Pairing
1.
We want to be on the Connected
Devices screen, so you must press the
arrow in the upper left till you return to
the Connected Devices screen.
2.
You may see a previously paired
MLCS PowerLift Pro under the
Previously Connected Devices section,
3.
If there is no previous pairing of an
MLCS PowerLift Pro, continue to Step
3 - Establish a Paring below.
4.
If there is a previous pairing of an
MLCS PowerLift Pro, you must remove
that pairing.
5.
To the right-hand side of the previously
paired MLCS PowerLift Pro there will
be a gear icon. Tap the gear icon, and
you will be in the Device Details
screen.
6.
Then select the Forget option (it has a
delete trash can).
7.
This removes the prior pairing and will
return to you to Connected Devices
screen.
