GOLF CART SOLAR CHARGE BOOST SYSTEM
Now you have received your solar golf cart package you need to install it.
Remove the panel from the box.
Face the panel glass down on a flat clean surface and securely install the
mounting brackets provided with the kit to the predrilled holes in the frame of
the panel.
Place the panel on the roof of your golf cart to see where it will fit the best.
When the best fitting position is found secure the brackets to the golf cart roof. Be sure to keep the two
solar panel's wires out from underneath the solar panel so the wires can be connected to the wire pack.
Cover the solar panel with the box it was delivered in to stop power output from the solar panel while
installing.
Work out where you are going to run your wires to the battery compartment.
Be sure to check no damage to the wiring can happen during and after installation.
The wire pack will consist of a red positive wire and a black negative wire with solar connectors. These
wires will only plug into the solar panel's wires one way.
Connect the inline solar fuse to the positive wire on the solar panel. Then connect the red solar panel wire
into the solar fuse. Connect the negative solar wire into the negative black wire.
Run your wires from the solar panel to the position you have chosen to install the first circuit breaker which
will be before the regulator.
Cut the positive wire and install eyelet connectors and heat shrink to both of the cut wire ends.
Install the circuit breaker into position on the golf cart, press the red button to turn the circuit breaker off and
remove the wire connection nuts. Place the red wire coming from the solar panel to the top pole on the
right-hand side of the circuit breaker. Install the other cut wire to pole at the base left-hand side of the circuit
breaker.
From here run both the red and black wires to the battery compartment.
Work out where you can install the solar regulator. At the same time plan where you will install the second
circuit breaker, it is to be installed between the regulator battery positive output and the battery bank
positive.
Cut your wires coming from the solar panel and first circuit breaker to the required length to connect to the
regulator. The "excess" wire which has been cut from the 7m lead can then be used to connect to the
battery side of the regulator and the batteries.
The regulators yellow wire connects to the first circuit breaker's red wire using a wire connector. The black
solar panel wire connects to the regulator's black solar input wire using a wire connector. Heat tube should
be installed over these connections.
Using the excess wire measure the length required to reach the batteries positive at one end of the battery
bank and the negative at the opposite end of the battery bank from the regulator and circuit breaker. Red
