P.O.E. LEAK DETECTOR
INSTALLATION & OPERATION GUIDE
FOR WATER APPLIANCES SUCH AS WATER FILTERS, WATER HEATERS, AND MORE.
Thank you for purchasing your Crystal Quest
detector. Your leak detector has been designed for quick and easy
installation. The unit is battery operated, requires no external power,
and is extremely convenient. Its 1" NPT connects easily to pipe on
main water line. Please read the following instructions carefully to
enjoy the benefits of your product.

- Detects water leaks within a Whole House and/or point-of-entry
system and appliances.
- Shuts down the water supply to appliance to prevent flooding.
CONNECTION
TROUBLESHOOTING
Question:
The leak detector is beeping. How do I shut it off?
The leak detector has activated due to one of the following:
1) Water touching the sensor (leak or spill)
2) Low battery
3) No testing for 2 years and is in maintenance mode
Do the following as needed:
(1) Check for leaks and repair if necessary. (2) Dry metal sensor(s).
(3) Change the battery if in doubt. (4) Hold the Reset button down
until the controller no longer beeps.
SPECIFICATIONS
• Remove battery cover and gently remove the batteries.
• Connect AA batteries, matching the positive(+) and negative(-)
terminals.
• Insert the battery into the
battery compartment and close the
battery compartment cover.
• The control unit activates the
auto shut-off/leak
®
solenoid valve to open the inlet
pipe, generating a long beep. Press
the Reset button for 4 seconds.

CONNECT SYSTEM TO SOURCE WATER
• Turn the water source off. Install the Controller Module/Sensor
by appliance(s).
• Install solenoid valve on the feed line, ensuring water flow is in
the direction of the arrow.
• Connect the inlet and outlet
• Turn the water source on and check for leaks at the fitting
valves.

SPECIFICATIONS
• Water leak controller with auto shut-off and alarm
• AA alkaline battery operated
• Auto shut-off when battery power is low
• Easy installation before appliance
• Water leak detecting method: Leak detector is placed close to
water treatment system with metal detecting sensors faced
down. Upon sensing moisture, controller will engage the shut-
off valve and sound an alarm.
• Environment temperature: 68°F-176°F (20°C-80°C)
• Maximum pressure: 87 psi (6 bar)
• Cable length: 70 inches (1778 mm)
• leak detector sensor on dry towel on ground prior to
appliance.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
• Use of the leak detector is restricted to cold water supply lines.
Do not connect to a hot water line.
• Do not place anything on top of the sensor.
• Insert only the proper size of pipe fitting into the
solenoid valve.
• Operate only with AA size alkaline type battery.
• Do not cross thread solenoid inlet and outlet.
