Please make the following settings on the Boss® GM-800 to enable and correctly use the functions of the device.

・ Update your GM-800 to version 1.10 or later.

・ Select "GK-5Kit6" in GK TYPE under GK SETTING.
・ Select "NORMAL" in PU DIRECTION under GK SETTING.

・ Set OUTPUT MODE to "SYN/NORM" or "NORM MIX" in OUTPUT SELECT of IN/OUT SETTING.

- Page 2 How to operate ●Connecting to the guitar/bass synthesizer ① Connect the GK output of the unit to the GK IN terminal of the Boss®GM-800 using a Boss® Digital Serial GK cable (sold separately). ② Using a standard shielded cable, connect the GM-800 output terminals (R/MONO) to a guitar amplifier, direct box, audio interface, etc. ③ Switch the GK←MIX→Gt. switch and make sure it is in the "GK" position, then adjust the volume on your amp or DAW to make sure the sound is output from the GM-800. Turn the GK PU Vol. knob to adjust the volume. ④ You can switch between the GM-800 tones and select the tone you wish to play by switching around the position of the "GK Tone Selector" toggle on the guitar body. ⑤ Tweak the GM-800 main unit settings to adjust the sound to your liking. ※Please refer to the GM-800 manual for instructions on the use of the GM-800 unit. ⑥ You can switch between outputting the sound of the guitar alone or both the guitar and the GM-800's tone by operating the GK ←MIX→Gt. switch to better suit the situation and setting you are performing in. GK ... Only the guitar/bass synthesizerʼs sound will be output. MIX ... Both the guitar and the guitar/bass synthesizerʼs sound will be output. Gt. ... Only the guitarʼs sound will be output. ※To enable the switching function, set the OUTPUT MODE to "SYN/NORM" or "NORM MIX" in the OUTPUT SELECT of the IN/OUT SETTING of the GM-800. (Compatible with GM-800 ver 1.10 or later) ●Use as a stand-alone guitar ① Connect the unit's guitar output (Gt. Output) to a guitar amplifier, direct box, audio interface, etc. using a standard shielded cable. ② Adjust the guitar volume and the volume of the amp, DAW, or mixer to make sure the sound comes out. ③ Adjust each control to your preferred setting. Precautions ・ For information on the operation of the Boss® GM-800, please refer to the Boss® GM-800 instruction manual. ・ Connecting cables to both Gt.
