Standard notations The following notations may be used throughout this guide to emphasize important safety information, mechanical concerns, and other important information. Savaria recommends that you review and follow all of these messages. Danger messages indicate an imminently hazardous situation, which, if not avoided, results in death or seri- DANGER ous injury.

Page 5 Place the operator on the top track over the PEM stud bolts and carriage bolts. Ensure the distance from the center of the PEM stud bolts to the edge of the track is 3-3/8”. Figure 3 Place operator on track Ensure the operator overhangs the slam side of the cab by 3/4”.

Page 6 Tighten the PEM stud bolts with lock washers and nuts. Install the gate operator arm assembly into the track at the front of the operator. Verify that you have the correct hand unit for your installation. Ensure the gate can manually slide across the track without friction. The gate must operate smoothly without binding. Correct any problems with the gate before proceeding.

Page 10 Step 5 Program gate operator (if required) Procedure NOTE The gate operator parameters are factory set. Use this section only if you have ordered a programmer (PN 105872) and you need to adjust the parameter settings for your installation. CAUTION Never press the RESET button on the gate operator board unless you have the programming tool to set up the parameter values.

Page 11 If you need to adjust the parameters for your installation, refer to the following illustration and tables. NOTE After changing a parameter, you must press the Test/Set button to store the new value. DO NOT hold down the Test/Set button for more than 3 seconds or all parameters will reset to their original values.

Page 12 To access the second page of parameters, press and hold the << button for 3 seconds. When scrolling through the parameters on the second page, only four parameters are available. The following table lists the second page of parameters. Note that if no value is entered within 3 seconds, the second page will roll back to the first page.
