VF1 Unpacking Instructions and Setup Guide

Tools needed:
● Scissors
● Flat Head Screwdriver
Inspect packaging for any signs of damage.
Notify the shipper and Micro-Vu immediately if shipping damage
is detected.
Bend tabs straight and remove top and sides of the crate.
Remove thermal cover.
The cover is stapled to the pallet. A screwdriver may be needed
to remove the staples.

  • Page 3 Loosen and remove ratchet straps anchoring machine to crate. Using two people, lift the machine off the crate and place it on a table. Lift machine from the base. DO NOT lift by holding onto plastic covers. Remove stage glass from accessory box and install on stage. Loosen glass lock.
  • Page 4 Press the power button on the front of the machine. The VF1 requires InSpec 1.0 or newer. Not supported by InSpec Classic. Download and install InSpec using download site: microvu.com/inspec Open InSpec software. Remove the Vision Calibration Fixture from the bubble bag and place it on the stage glass.
  • Page 5 Remove the Calibration Fixture and place the grid back on the stage glass. Run another Vision Verification. View the plot and verify all points are within the error lines of 4.7(um)+L/55 (mm/um) Clear the stage and complete a light calibration. The VF1 machine is now ready for use.
