Instructions for assembly and use of Model 3700 Baby Chick Starter Home
Thank you for purchasing the Farm Innovators Model 3700 Baby Chick Starter Home. These instructions and
the Chick Care Guide on the back page will assist you in providing a safe and happy home for your baby chicks
until they are old enough to move outside. The packaging includes the following:
(10) – 18" x 12" plastic panels pre-assembled with white plastic rings
(1) – L-Shaped Brooder Lamp Hanger Base (brooder lamp not included)
(1) – L-Shaped Brooder Lamp Hanger Arm with hook
(1) – Wing nut and bolt
(2) – Plastic zip ties
Assembly Instructions:
1. Unfold the orange and white pre-assembled panels and stand them up on the floor. The last two panels
are not pre-assembled with rings as this is where the Adjustable Lamp Hanger will be fastened.
2. Place the Lamp Hanger Base on the inside of the starter home with the bottom leg facing in towards the
center. Using the zip ties, secure the Lamp Hanger Base to the plastic panels by threading the end of a
zip tie through the top hole on the outside of the panel, around the pipe, and out the top hole of the other
panel. Fasten the zip tie on the outside of the starter home. Repeat using the second zip tie for the bottom
hole. Tighten both zip ties so the Lamp Hanger Base is snug against the panels.
3. Slide the Lamp Hanger Arm into the Lamp Hanger Base. Line up the hole in the Base with the top hole
in the Arm. This will put the Lamp Hanger at its lowest position. Place the bolt through the holes and
secure with wing nut. (To raise the height of the Lamp Hanger, unscrew the nut, remove the bolt and
raise the Lamp Hanger Arm to the desired height. Line up holes and re-fasten with bolt and wing nut).
Note: Always secure the Lamp Hanger Base to the Lamp Hanger Arm using the wing nut and
screw. Also, always secure the Lamp Hanger to the panels using the zip ties. This will maintain
the stability of the unit.
